Wednesday: That Time Again

This feature is getting to annoy me a bit. First off, it's really hard (for me, at least) to quickly find good stuff on YouTube. Secondly, posting something every Wednesday just reminds me of the incredible speed with which time is passing.

Complaints out of the way, here's something pretty joyous...Stevie Wonder performing "Superstition" on Sesame Street. Enjoy:

Great clip. I would be interested in knowing how you stumbled upon it. What keywords are you typing in to find Sesame Street and Stevie Wonder crossing paths?

I love the fact that they let Stevie indulge himself/the song for three minutes longer than any show or award show would allow today. If the Grammy's were to give Stevie a lifetime achievement award they would probably tell him, "You're great, the world loves you and the decades of music you've given us. Now get on stage and sum it up in two and a half minutes."

I actually just searched under "stevie wonder" and this was one of the many clips that came up. I agree that it's amazing how long they go on for -- it's a sad commentary on the present day that Sesame Street (as great as it was/is) provided a better musical forum than anything currently going...

They let him play because Stevie rocks, and because Sesame Street was cool. Ah, for those simpler times, when TV didn't suck so bad....

This is wonderful, JW -- like a little piece of my childhood. (The little kid in the red shirt is my alter-ego.)

I found your site through Pajiba and this post just made my day. Seriously, one of the coolest videos I've ever seen on Youtube. It's also the first time that I've ever been jealous of a four-year-old with a maraca.
