Custom-Made Weather?

Wednesday is my birthday. I'm a big winter person, and this one has been really mild in these parts. The weather for the next five days is supposed to hover in the 40s and 50s, still unseasonably warm. But Wednesday shows a forecasted high of 28. Happy birthday to me.

Why is it so much colder in Dallas than in NY? At this point of the year, I'm usually disappointedly putting my sweaters away, since the weather always gets warm ridiculously early. Right now, there's snow and ice on the ground, and it apparently dipped into the teens a few nights ago.

Weather is dumb.

It's weird that it's been colder there on balance, but I can promise you it's not colder there today. With the wind chill, NYC is well into the low teens this afternoon, I'm sure. It's absolutely freezing here. Beautiful and sunny, though.

Happy Birthday John. I raise a glass to you. Actually, it's a bottle of unspeakable "berry" flavored chewable Pecid AC. I would that it was a frosty gin and tonic, but it's the only vessel in arms reach. The spirit is there though - the warmth of friendship and affection among old pals. It resides next to heart just behind the unremtting burning in my chest of bile digesting my own esophagus. Perhaps I should have another dose (although the bile is more pleasing to taste). My left arm is tingling too - friendship.

Well done, these last thirty-something years JW.
