I don't watch "Extras," partly because I don't see how it could possibly live up to "The Office," but a friend sent along this clip, which is very funny once Bowie starts singing and features an almost subliminal appearance by the brilliant Stephen Merchant at the 4:00 mark.

I watched the first season, and it's a pretty good show, although not as good as The Office. It actually takes some getting used to seeing Ricky Gervais playing a normal joe, with whom we're supposed to empathise. And Steven Merchant plays his agent. He's brilliantly worthless.
The star cameos are a pretty dang funny device, though. In one, Patrick Stewart keeps pitching his idea for a movie, which is a direct rip-off of "Zapped!" In another, Kate Winslett takes a break from playing a nun to give lessons on how to talk dirty.
Check it out. You won't schedule your week around it, but it's a pretty good half hour.
