Foreblindness

If you're interested in commenting on how my crystal ball might need a new set of batteries, please do in the original post below, where a conversation might break out about just how bad Orlando looked tonight, just how good Kobe looked tonight, and whether or not this completely dashes any hopes the Magic have of pulling this off.

i don't know, man. the magic have their work cut out for them, but they still have a decent shot of winning. they looked horrible last night, missing open shots almost every other time down the court. they didn't look overmatched--just overwhelmed. also, the lakers didn't run the triangle last night, which I'm sure surprised the hell out of the magic, and took them off their game. i still think this goes 6 games.

What's funny is that I almost wrote a post for my blog on the same topic--that I thought the Magic had a chance, and might surprise people.

They looked very very bad last night, no doubt. But, as you say, it's unlikely they'll shoot 30% for the series. What's worrying (to Magic fans) is how well the Lakers are starting to play. Kobe will always be great in the big games, but last night ANDREW BYNUM played well. Luke Walton played well. Fisher was hitting threes. When the Lakers play well as a team, they are really really good. For their last three games, that's how they've played.

That's why we should worry.
