Ellipses

For anyone who had a miserable Valentine's Day, Pajiba offers a list of Movies for the Dumped. I write, in the last blurb, about High Fidelity. . . . The Simpsons debuted a new opening-credits sequence for its jump to HD. Initial thoughts of sacrilege faded, because it's pretty good, though I doubt it will be this insanely long every time. The full episode wasn't bad, either. . . . Just a few more days until the Oscars. I've rarely seen fewer of the films and performances nominated. Stat-geek Nate Silver breaks down the competition. . . . The science blog Reality Base has been hosting Adam Frank, the author of a new book about religion and science.
