Ellipses

A letter written by Abraham Lincoln that you really have to read. . . . Fun with hideous sports uniforms. . . . If you like raunchy jokes, you might like this one, from the straightforwardly named Old Jews Telling Jokes. (Via Normblog.) . . . This is something the magazine first published five years ago, but in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Buddy Holly’s death (which was Tuesday), Texas Monthly has reposted its 100 Best Texas Songs. . . . I couldn't figure out how to give this its own post, so I'll just note it here: The other day, I learned that on more than one occasion, Samuel Beckett drove a young Andre the Giant to school in France. The Internet is truly a wondrous country.

Funny letter! and to learn, as I did to my regret, that Lincoln's voice was that of a ----------- makes it even more Woody Allen-ish...

know what the ----------- is.
It's like the ant/pain thing. Once you know, you can't not.
