Cover Me

Like many obsessive readers, I'm also fascinated by books as objects. This part of me was happy to find Caustic Cover Critic, a blog about book-cover design run by James Morrison. The site obviously offers the visual pleasure of works like these:

And it also features interviews with designers like Michael Kellner, who, toward the end of this long post, discusses designing a cover for David Foster Wallace's Oblivion that went unused.

I know at least one designer-friend who will enjoy kicking around the site -- if he hasn't discovered it already.
