I've been having some trouble with YouTube the past couple of days. I hope you're not. For Wednesday, here's an excerpt of Glenn Gould performing Bach's Concerto No. 1 in D minor (which I find is the saddest of all keys) with Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic:

The solo-piano sections sound in places jazz-like.

Fantastic! And The angle of the camera is great--love watching the cellos saw away dramatically while Gould approaches the end with a flourish.

Gorgeous.... thanks for this, ASWOBA.

I know Gould was eccentric in many respects, but I don't think I've ever seen a pianist sit so low in relation to the keyboard.

Can't wait 'til the Peanut is old enough to start tickling the ivories. Somehow, home will never quite be home without a piano....
