Songs About the Track

Can anyone think of songs that involve horse racing (preferably on a literal level, not a metaphorical one)? When I thought about it last week (it was a slow day), two songs immediately came to mind -- "Another Horsedreamer's Blues" by Counting Crows and "Chips Ahoy!" by The Hold Steady -- but the well quickly went dry.

I have no reason for wanting more, I'm just curious. So, if you know of any...

If songs from musicals are acceptable...

"Fugue for Tinhorns" from Guys and Dolls

and

"And They're Off" from A New Brain

Big Audio Dynamite's "The Bottom Line." Well, it's not really about horseracing but they do say over and over, "The horses are on the track."

Maybe this doesn't count, but: when I was a kid, one of the few records my dad had was The Very Best of Spike Jones, and on it is a severely cracked version of "William Tell Overture," during which he lampoons a horse race. It's hi-larious -- or, at least, it was when I was 7.

Check out "The Race Is On", sung by Sawyer Brown AND George Jones (probably among others). Sure, it's technically about love, but at least there's an extended racing metaphor.
