If the artist came up to you and said "Dude, that stick is just the stand to keep my sculpture from rolling off the stand," wouldn't you offer up an "Oops, just a second, I'll be right back. We forgot to bring out your sculpture" instead of trying to justify that a stick is more artistic than your sculpture?
