Wow. Someone needs a time out on the naughty mat.
The Mikulik incident is one of the great moments in baseball history as far as I can see. They should create an ESPY award for him to win next week and Cooperstown shouldn't be far behind with a corner devoted to an eternal loop of the incident. Joe will symbolize forever the legion of wannabes who toil in the low minors for a pittance and some chits at the local Arby's.
Steve 'what's his name,' the former Met GM turned TV guru actually advocated firing poor Joe. Hershiser and Kruk, to their credit, jumped all over him.
